格拉谢拉·阿劳斯出生于阿根廷圣路易斯省默西迪斯庄园。诗人，小说家。曾荣获奖学金资助，前往西班牙马德里攻读研究生课程，取得西班牙语和文学教授资格，以及语言学（拉美裔部分）的较高学位。

她现任阿根廷作家协会主席，是阿根廷文化及教育顾问及荣誉参议员。作为著名诗歌杂志《最后的领土》（ Último Reino ）的前编委会成员，以及世界诗歌运动和“我 们的美洲”诗歌网站的创始成员，她还是阿根廷布宜诺斯艾利斯国际诗歌节（FIP）的总指挥。

阿劳斯的作品涉及文化、教育，阅读和女性在阿根廷政治中的积极角色，已出版诗歌集《沉默的包袱》、《女魔》和《鹿的门徒》，以及散文集《当代西班牙抒情诗歌新选》和《女性在荣誉国民大会中的作用 1983-2001》。

她的诗歌曾荣获西班牙 Tiflos 诗歌一等奖，她还是第一位获得 Vicente Aleixandre诗歌奖和第二位获得Carmen Conde诗歌奖的阿根廷诗人。她的诗歌被广泛翻译成日语、土耳其语、德语、葡萄牙语、克罗地亚语、英语和法语。

Graciela Aráoz was born in Villa Mercedes, province of San Luis, Argentina. She is a poet and fiction writer. She graduated as a professor in Spanish literature. She won a scholarship to carry out a postgraduate course in Madrid, Spain, where she obtained the degrees of Teacher of Spanish Language and Literature and a higher degree in Philo logy (Hispanic Section). She is currently the President of the SEA: SOCIEDAD DE ESCRITORES Y ESCRITORAS DE ARGENTINA  (Argentine Society of writers). She acts as a counselor for Culture and Education matters in the Honorable Senate of the Argentina. She was a member of the Editorial Board of the now legendary poetry magazine 'Último Reino'. She is the Director of the FIP : International Poetry Festival of Buenos Aires, Argentina and a founding member of the World Poetry Movement and the 'Nuestra America' network. She published the following collection of poems: Bagaje de Silencio (Baggage of Silence), Itinerario de Fuego (Itinerary of Fire), Diabla (She-devil),  El protegido del Ciervo (The Deer's Protegee) and the essays: 'Ángel García López: una renovaciòn en la lìrica española contemporànea' (a renewal in contemporary Spanish lyric) and The Role of Women at the Honorable National Congress (between 1983-2001). In addition to several essays on culture, education, reading and the active role of women in Argentine politics. In Spain she obtained the Tiflos ' first prize in poetry as well as the First Vicente Aleixandre Poetry Prize and the Second Carmen Conde Prize.  Her poetry has been partially translated  into Japanese, Turkish, German, Portuguese, English, Croatian and French.
