Philippe Tancelin was born in 1948. He is a poet and philosopher, professor emeritus of the University of Paris, PhD in Philosophy. He is a knight of Arts and Letters (high distinction of the French Ministry of Culture for the quality of his poetic work). He has published 33 works of poetry and aesthetic reflections on the relationship between poetry and history. Director of three collections of poetry editions Harmattan, he is interested in contemporary Chinese poetry in particular. In 1990 he won the International Dramatic Prize and in 2008 he took Radicevic from Belgrade for his poetic work. He is the founder of CICEP (International and Interuniversity Center for Creation of Poetic Spaces). Philippe Tancelin is a poet of the voice. He cultivates poetic orality and directs a poetic choir.
